1. How To Calculate The Ideal Size For The Comforter
To perform a standardized and beautiful bed sheet, you need to calculate correctly the size of it.
For a mattress which is 160cm wide, 200cm long and 10cm high, you n fabric properties as follows:
160cm wide + 10cm high + a 10 cm part to thread the rubber band under the mattress = 160 + 10 + 10 = 180 cm
Due to the height of the mattress, you need to double the size of the part under the mattress. Therefore, the width is 160 + 20 + 20 = 200 cm = 2m
Similarly, the length of comforter is also counted as: 200 + 20 + 20 = 240 = 2m4
In summary, the size of your comforter depends on calculating the width and the height of the mattress.
2. How To Sew Bed Sheets
Oversew around the edges of fabric, or you can fold 2 edges of the fabric and sew them in order to hide away the seedy part.
Fold the two edges of the left side to form a triangle. Measure from the top corner of the triangle into 20cm (here is standard mattress with 160cm long and 10cm high.
Sew follow the line
- Cut off the excess fabric (colored part)
- Overturn the fabric and sew it one more time.
Sew the surrounding. When sewing near each corner, remember to leave some small parts to thread the rubber band. After threading, sewing cross the rubber band to hold it.
Then, you have quickly finished sewing your comforter.
